Chicken with oranges, photo-proven recipe step by step

If you are choosing a menu for the New Year's table, then be sure to include this fragrant festive dish in it. Chicken with oranges turns out to be such that the guests are ready to lick their fingers. Of course, the family can be pampered with this magical dish not only on New Year's Eve. But it is on a holiday that you want something unusual. Perhaps, having tasted the citrus-scented chicken, you will realize that you have a new favorite dish.

The recipe is surprisingly simple. It is good because it does not require exotic ingredients for cooking, and chicken meat is inexpensive. As a result, you get a dish worthy of the best restaurants at the lowest cost. If you are confused by the need to add orange jam to the dish, then it is quite possible to get by with the juice of fresh oranges.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken fillet;
  • Salt pepper;
  • Soy sauce;
  • Garlic;
  • Ground ginger;
  • Sesame;
  • Orange jam (or fresh oranges).

Cooking.

  • Grease a saucepan with oil, place the chicken fillet seasoned with salt and pepper in it. In a separate bowl, combine orange jam (jam or juice of one orange and a few citrus slices), soy sauce, minced garlic, and ginger.
  • Sprinkle the chicken generously with the resulting marinade, but do not forget to leave a couple of spoons in stock.
  • Cover and simmer over medium heat until half cooked.
  • At this time, lightly fry the sesame seeds in a hot skillet for about 30 seconds.
  • To brown the chicken a little, open the lid at the end of cooking.
  • Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate, top with orange marinade and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

This way you can cook any part of the chicken, such as the breast or ham. Cooked chicken in orange marinade goes well with rice or potatoes. You can experiment with spices, if it seems to you that something is missing in the taste palette, then you can safely add your favorite spice.
