Ahead of the New Year 2024, the symbol of which will be the Green Wooden Dragon, and today we invite needlewomen to find out how you can make the talisman of the coming year with your own hands. This collection presents a wide variety of ideas - beading, origami, textile crafts.
Paper Dragon on hand from TikTok
On the eve of the New Year, we propose to make the symbol of 2024 from the TikTok video with our own hands together with the children - each such a cheerful Dragon can turn out to be unique, which is especially interesting!
To make you will need:
- A4 office paper (white or color) - 2 sheets;
- scissors;
- markers or markers;
- glue.
The algorithm of actions can be easily repeated according to the photo instructions:
Stage 1 - blanks.
Dividing the sheet with the ratio 2/4 + 1/4 + 1/4, as in the photo.
Stage 2 - top of the head.
Fold a larger piece of paper in half, and then in half again, getting an accordion in 4 layers.
Further, we fold the resulting narrow strip again, as in the photo. This will be the top of the dragon's head.
Stage 3 - lower part of the head.
Do the same for the lower part of the head, just fold one of the smaller pieces of paper. We get the same accordion, only narrower.
Now we have the top and bottom of the dragon's head.
Step 4 - triangular parts of the head.
Take the second whole sheet of paper and divide it exactly in half.
Add one of the halves three times:
And bend the edges into a corner on both sides:
Cut off the excess, as in the photo.
Make 2 blanks
Open each blank and bend all the corners in one direction.
Cut off the second part along the line, getting 2 parts.
Stage 4 - draw the dragon's face on blanks
A very important stage, because it depends on it exactly how your dragon will be - New Year's, Chinese, fabulous
Add teeth for the top of the muzzle.
Step 5 - glue all the details
Triangles - on the very top and bottom of the head, double rhombus - the dragon's mouth, connecting the upper and lower parts of the craft.
Stage 6 - add ears and horns
Our symbol of 2024 will be with horns and ears, but you can come up with your own decorative elements, such as those worn by the traditional Chinese Dragon and create a unique toy with your own hands.
Just draw the elements we need, cut them out and glue them onto the previously made dragon's head.

Algorithm of actions.
Stage 1 - head and torso.
It is necessary to start weaving from the muzzle, moving according to the pattern to the tip of the tail. The torso will be voluminous, making your DIY Dragon look realistic.
Stage 2 - paws.
The weaving of the paws is shown in diagram No. 1, but they must be done separately. After you finish making the torso.
Stage 3 - wings.
