Egg mogul at home, photo recipe

We have all heard about eggnog - it is found in children's books, classical works, but how many have actually tried it? It turns out that eggnog is an amazing delicacy and an excellent medicine that even children take with pleasure. The mogul recipe is very simple, but there are many variations. Today we will share one of them. The secret is that there are no raw eggs in our recipe.

Ingredients

  • Egg - 12 pcs;
  • Sugar or syrup - 1.5 cups;
  • Salt - 0.5 teaspoon;
  • Milk - 1 l;
  • Vanilla extract - 2 tsp;
  • Nutmeg (grated) - 1 tsp;
  • Cream 33% - 1 cup or ready-made whipped cream.

Cooking process

Take a 3 liter pan, break eggs there.

Pour sugar into a saucepan with eggs.

Add salt there.

Whisk with a fork or whisk.

Pour in half the milk and mix well.

Place the pan with the egg and milk mixture over low heat. Warm up for about 25 minutes, stirring constantly. When the mixture is ready, it will not drip off the upturned wooden spoon.

While stirring, tune in to a festive mood, imagine the happy faces of your household. After all, no one has yet resisted the magic of the mogul-mogul prepared according to this recipe.

It is very important for the preparation of a delicious mogul to keep it from boiling.

If there is an infrared thermometer at home that instantly detects the temperature of not only the body, but also liquids (such are easy to find in young parents who are worried about their child and meticulously measure the temperature of the water every time they swim), check the temperature of the dessert. Ideally, it should be around 80 ° C. If there is no thermometer, trust your intuition. But remember, eggnog is a delicate drink and cannot be allowed to boil.

When the mogul mixture is ready, pour it through a sieve into an ovenproof dish.

All harmful lumps remained in the sieve, and the consistency of our dessert will be uniform and melt in the mouth.

Now add the vanilla extract or a couple of bags of vanillin. And stir.

If you have a whole nutmeg, rub it into the same bowl. If not, add ground nutmeg.

Pour in the remaining milk, stir. Refrigerate for at least three hours or until cool.

When our eggnog is frozen, you can whip cream.

Add cream (freshly whipped or ready-made) to the eggnog bowl and serve into nice glasses.

Eggnog looks great in mulled wine glasses. Garnish with the leftover whipped cream and grated nutmeg.

Advice

And a couple more tips on how to make your holiday drink even more memorable.

  • Adults can add some rum or skate.
  • Sophisticated housewives can use maple or berry syrup instead of usually sugar or syrup, then the mogul will have an additional flavor.
  • If you choose to whip the cream yourself, leave some sugar or syrup for the whipping so that the eggnog doesn't get cloying.

Happy and delicious Christmas!
