DIY Christmas decoration of a house and apartment: what to do by the 2020 meeting

You can create a New Year's mood with your own hands if you decorate the house festively in advance. If there are children in the family, they will be happy to help build Christmas decorations, garlands and other New Year's decor. 2020 is coming very soon, and you need to meet it brightly, unforgettably, and cheerfully. Christmas decoration of a house or apartment with your own hands and the hands of all household members is a creative and exciting process, which will not only give everyone a pre-holiday mood, but also create an excellent occasion for joint family leisure on a cold December day.

What materials and colors to choose for the 2020 meeting?

The coming year according to the Eastern calendar will be held under the auspices of the White Metal Rat. For the next 12 months to bring happiness, success, and joy, care must be taken to gain the affection and support of an intelligent animal. Particular attention should be paid to the New Year's decoration of the house.

What decoration concept the Rat might like:

  • Using the rules of feng shui. The oldest Chinese teaching is based on the zoning of the premises into sectors in accordance with the parts of the world. It is also important what colors will be present in the jewelry. If you use red decor, do not install it in the northern zone, so as not to provoke quarrels and misunderstandings among family members. It is better to place the Christmas tree by the window, and hide the thorny needles under the shiny rain and silver tinsel.

  • Russian style. The main decorations in our country are an elegant Christmas tree, Santa Claus, Snow Maiden, a funny snowman, paper snowflakes, and glowing garlands. As for shades, preference is given to green, red, white, silver, gold. The main Christmas tree in the Russian style is a natural spruce or fir with a delicious coniferous aroma, luminous garlands and shiny balls. Also, traditionally, the Christmas tree is decorated with edible decor: sweets, tangerines, gingerbread.
  • Western style. This option is ideal for decorating a country house for the New Year. Preference is given to minimalism, without bright colors and an abundance of tinsel. The main characters are Santa Claus and reindeer, which you can paint with gouache, as well as place homemade figures around the house. An artificial white spruce or pine is installed in the room, and the front door is decorated with a Christmas wreath, which can be made from spruce branches, cones, ribbons, shiny balls.
