The birth of a child is the most delightful event for every person. At the same time, young parents expect not only joy and happiness, but also material costs. The necessary set of things for the baby is seen as material support for the young mother in the first year after giving birth. The program, which was developed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, is planned to be implemented in 2018-2020. But so far it works fully only in the capital of the Russian Federation and in several regions.
Expectant mothers are concerned about whether there will be newborn baskets in 2019. Also, pregnant women and those planning to replenish their families are interested in whether it is possible to receive a gif.webpt in the regions of Russia, whether the kits will be similar for residents of different regions.
From 01.01.2018, a social program was launched - the presentation of gif.webpts to women in childbirth from Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, which is called "Our Treasure". The set includes 44 items, including basic baby clothes, diapers, bedding, toys, bathing and hygiene products, as well as educational literature for mothers.
The program is still being finalized, but some regions of the Russian Federation already practice giving useful gif.webpts to parents in maternity hospitals:
- On June 1, the action "Gif.webpt for a newborn" from the Perm region will begin. Young families will be provided with sets for newborns, which include the following: a baby blanket, a duvet cover, a sheet, a pillowcase for a small pillow, two diapers, and a bathing towel.
- Yekaterinburg also plans to introduce a program to help young families. By the way, back in 2016, the government began to issue a "Box for Baby" to those mothers who found themselves in a difficult life situation - minors, the poor.
The authorities of Yekaterinburg are setting themselves a serious task. With the help of material support, they plan to reduce the percentage of unsecured women abandoning babies in maternity hospitals.
- Volgograd residents are also interested in whether it is possible to receive a gif.webpt from the state after childbirth. So far, there are no official orders regarding the action, but the authorities promise to finalize the program of assistance to young mothers and introduce it as soon as possible. As for the contents of the box and the cost that will be included in the formation, information is not yet available.
- In Bryansk, as in many other cities of the Russian Federation, from 2019 the project "Gif.webpt for a newborn" is planned. While the program is under development, it is already known that in the box a young mother will find overalls, baby clothes, bedding for a crib, a towel, diapers, and cosmetics for the baby. The only question is the date, which will be the beginning of the social action.
- Arkhangelsk is considering the option of material support for a woman after giving birth, but there is no exact information yet when the project will take effect.
Funding for the program is vested in the regional budgets.
Who is entitled to gif.webpt sets for newborns?
A gif.webpt from the mayor can be received by parents or guardians / adoptive parents of the child living in the capital of the Russian Federation.
If only one of the parents lives in Moscow, the baby is still given a box.

Clothes for babies are provided by the Russian firm Ryzhik, the rest of the items are from well-known brands that produce items for babies. The components of the box were chosen in neutral colors.
Can I get money instead of a gif.webpt?
The reaction regarding the social program of assistance to young families in connection with the birth of a child is ambiguous. Some mothers are glad that they were given a lot of necessary things for the baby, they consider this a good help. But there are also those who oppose the unwise use of budget money. For example, psychologists advise spending these funds to help those women who suffer from severe depression after childbirth.
According to statistics, every fifth mother experiences postpartum mental and mood problems.
But to provide psychological support, a detailed study of the client base of women in childbirth will be required, which can take a long time. It is much easier and more effective to help now with material items. A monetary equivalent is not issued instead of a kit for a newborn! You can refuse the gif.webpt, but in this case there will be no replacement.
How to get a?
In order for you to receive a set of gif.webpts for discharge for newborns after childbirth, you will need the following documents:
- A mother living in Moscow will need to provide a passport with a stamp on the capital's registration.
- The dad, who lives in the capital of the Russian Federation and plans to pick up the gif.webpt, will need documents: a passport, a document confirming the place of residence (if it is not indicated in the passport), a marriage certificate with a woman in childbirth, a baby's birth certificate, which contains data about the father.
In the event that both parents do not live in Moscow, but the child appeared in the capital's maternity hospital, one of them is obliged to provide:
- identity document (passport);
- birth certificate issued in the capital.
Is it possible to pick up the newborn kit outside the maternity hospital?
The gif.webpt can be received at the department of social protection of the population at the place of residence or temporary stay in Moscow. This can be done by one of the parents, but no later than two months after the birth.
What is provided to the department of social protection:
- statement;
- identity document (passport);
- a document on the place of residence of the parents (if the information is not indicated in the passport);
- a document with information about the stay of one or both parents in the city (if parents who do not live in Moscow apply for a gif.webpt);
- birth certificate issued in Moscow;
- marriage registration certificate (if the child is born to parents who are officially married).
If adoptive parents or guardians receive the kit, they must additionally take a written court decision on adoption, or a decision on establishing custody of the baby.
Promotion - a gif.webpt for a newborn from Sobyanin
A box for babies in Moscow maternity facilities is issued to each family after the birth of a child, if he was born in the capital or one of the parents with a Moscow registration. Moscow Mayor S.S. Sobyanin repeatedly made a proposal to introduce material support in the form of a set of things for babies.
By the end of 2017, by the Decree of the Moscow Government, it was decided to hand over a one-time gif.webpt box to young families. Initially, a gif.webpt from Sobyanin was supposed to be given to parents who had metropolitan registration. At the end of 2018, the box can already be received by citizens who do not live in the capital, provided that their baby appears in a Moscow maternity hospital.
