New Year's gingerbread for the Christmas tree, photo recipe and painting

What could be better in New Year's Eve that fragrant gingerbread? This tradition came to us from the West and is comfortably entrenched in Russian houses. Gingerbread baking is a special time when you can escape from the hustle and bustle and have fun with your family and children. Moreover, even the youngest housewives can cope with such a culinary recipe.

The recipe is simple (the dough is prepared in the same way as for the gingerbread house):

300 g of liquid honey;
4 eggs;
250 g granulated sugar;
2 tsp ground ginger;
2 tsp ground cinnamon;
200 butter;
750 gr. white flour;
vanillin;
2 tsp cocoa (if desired);
4 tsp baking powder;
2 tsp grated orange peel.

This dosage is for a large number of gingerbread (for a large family). If you want less, it is better to cut the amount of ingredients in half.

Mix the softened butter with sugar, honey and eggs. Mix all dry ingredients with flour, knead the dough and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes.

Then roll out the dough with a layer of 0.5-0.7 mm.

Or decorate the figurines with stamps. By the way, the same molds are also suitable for New Year's dough crafts.

Place on baking paper and bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes at 180 degrees.

The gingerbread cookies are already ready, we will decorate them with powdered sugar and the New Year's masterpiece is ready, but you can think of something more interesting!
