Not a single New Year is complete without the beautiful Christmas tree. Artificial or alive, big or small - it doesn't matter. The main thing is that the symbol is present in the house, creating a holiday mood!
And of course, the most diverse types of creativity have found their embodiment in green beauties. Let's and we will try to make a Christmas tree from sisal.
Sisal is a coarse natural plant fiber. It is often used to make rope. We will need it.
Tools and materials
- sisal thick rope;
- scissors;
- wire;
- a pair of pliers (a vise and a drill is desirable, but not required);
- dyes (more on them later);
- decorative elements for decorating the Christmas tree.
Cut the rope into pieces and disassemble it into fibers.
After the sisal fibers have fluffed up enough, we lay them between the doubled wire.
With scissors we carefully form the silhouette of the future Christmas tree.
Now comes the tricky part. Ideally, you need to clamp one end of the wire (where the leg of the tree is) in a vice, and hook the other end onto a drill (use a drill in the form of a hook). When the drill is turned on, the wire rotates around its axis and fixes the sisal well and firmly on itself.
If there is no such equipment, then it can be done manually. By clamping both ends of the wire with pliers and rotating them in different directions (this procedure will have to be done together).
Now all that remains is to trim the tree from the disheveled sisal. And you can start painting.
You can paint the finished Christmas tree by dipping it in a solution of water-soluble food coloring (which is also used for handmade soap). And you can use shoe paint (if its colors allow), slightly diluted with alcohol. You can use dyes for Easter eggs.
After finishing with painting, you need to decorate the product. Set on a stand, decorate as a keychain or Christmas tree decoration. Or come up with something of your own - completely different and unique!
Happy creativity and Happy New Year!
