DIY New Year panel, photo master class

The magical, mysterious New Year, beloved by children and adults, is approaching. Until the pre-holiday chores have taken over all your free time completely, you can think about decorating the interior and do New Year's crafts for the home or for the kindergarten where your child goes.

Winter evenings, filled with the joint creation of their little masterpieces, will help both you and your children to plunge into a fabulous atmosphere and expect a miracle long before the holiday begins. So, let's get started and make a voluminous New Year's panel with our own hands. If you do not have some of the necessary materials, do not be discouraged, but simply replace them with available means.

Preparatory stage

To ensure that nothing overshadows the joy of creativity, pick up all the components, and buy the missing ones in the office department or at a craft store. You will need:

  • thick paper white, blue and colored with glitters,
  • felt sheets,
  • breadboard knife,
  • self-healing scrapbooking mat,
  • glue pen or pencil
  • spray can with white shiny paint,
  • double sided tape,
  • eyelet installer,
  • photo frame or box with wide sides,
  • templates of winter trees and animals,
  • ruler,
  • pencil.

The templates can be drawn by yourself or found among the many New Year's pins, small circles, if there is no eyelet installer, knock out with a hole punch, carefully cut with scissors, replace the rug with an ordinary board or plywood.

Panel assembly

The most fun part of the job is waiting for you. The algorithm of actions is as follows.

Paint the frame white and let it dry.

Cut out the blue background according to the internal dimensions of the prepared base.

We put a paper template on felt or colored paper and cut out trees, snowdrifts, animal figures.

Trying on and combining them into a three-dimensional composition.

We attach the panel to double-sided tape inside the frame.

We knock out snowflakes from white felt and decorations from sequined paper.

We cut out a star for a makeshift tree.

We glue small parts in random order.

We collect the product.

That's all, the beautiful winter panel is ready. It remains to hang it on the wall or put it in any place you like and admire the fruits of your labor. From felt, the product will turn out to be more voluminous and lively, but thick paper or thin cardboard will also work. The main thing is to make a craft with a soul and in a good mood.

I wish you successful creativity and a sea of New Year's joys!
