The epic novel is recognized by the world community as the apotheosis of the entire work of the French classic and one of the most significant novels of the 19th century. - "Peer Gynt" (155 years old) G. Ibsen. The play was published in 1867. Initially, the work made a mixed impression, causing negative reviews from critics. But later, the play was rethought, as a result of which the drama by Henrik Ibsen in 5 acts took an honorable place in the list of literary classics.
- “Around the World in 80 Days” (150 years) J. Verne. The cult novel by the French writer tells about the travels of a phlegmatic inhabitant of Foggy Albion and his servant. The work was written and published in 1872.
- "The Prince and the Pauper" (140 years old) M. Twain. The historical novel in an ironic format tells about the shortcomings and absurdities of the imperfect English state and judicial system of the 16th century.
- The Invisible Man (125) by GD Wells. The novel, published in 1897, describes the fate of an English scientist who invented an apparatus that makes a person invisible. The work caused an ambiguous impression - too much skepticism from other scientists. Nevertheless, today this work can rightfully be called a classic of foreign literature.
- "The Dog of the Baskervilles" (120 years old) A. K. Doyle. The detective story of an English writer was first published in 1902. The work rightfully takes pride of place in the list of the best detective novels of all time.
- "The Old Man and the Sea" (70 years old) E. Hemingway. The story of an American writer was published in 1952. This is the last work of Hemingway, published during his lifetime, and tells the story of an old fisherman and his struggle with a giant marlin.

- "Uncle Vanya" (125 years old) A. P. Chekhov. The play was published in 1897. In this work, the author colorfully describes the spiritual life of the Russian intelligentsia.
- "At the Bottom" (120 years old) M. Gorky. The play by the Russian writer was written in 1902. The work tells about the characters and fates of the inhabitants of the shelter for the poor. In 1904, the work was awarded the Griboyedov Prize.
- "White Guard" (95 years old) M. A. Bulgakov. This is the first novel by the great Russian writer, which describes the events of the Civil War in Ukraine at the end of 1918. The author's idea was to create a trilogy.The entire novel was published in France in 1927.
- “How the Steel Was Tempered” (90 years) N. A. Ostrovsky. A slightly autobiographical novel by the Russian writer was written in the period from 1930 to 1934. The book gained popularity during the Soviet era and became the most published work in the USSR.
- "The Fate of Man" (65 years old) M. V. Sholokhov. The story of the Russian writer was written in 1956 and published in 1957 in the newspaper Pravda. The plot of the work is based on real events from the life of a man whom Mikhail Sholokhov met in the spring while hunting.
