We recommend paying special attention to the quality of the photo on the Green Card, since there are not only requirements for the online system that are checked automatically when uploading a photo, but also requirements for an image for a visa, and it will be extremely disappointing if the discrepancy is revealed in 2024 year at the interview (and such situations also happen).

- inability to pay the consular fee in European countries with a MIR card;
- vaccination only with COVID vaccine, which is approved by the WHO and the FDA (obviously, domestic drugs are not included in this list);
- certificate of no criminal record (it is necessary to provide from all countries where a person has driven more than 6 months after he turned 16).
Probability of success
At the moment, there are statistics for the DV-2021 lottery (data for 2022 have not yet been processed). Thus, 533,169 applications for participation in the lottery in 2019 were submitted, of which 260,292 were selected as “main applications”. After the lottery, the system determined 6,001 winners, which is 2.31%. At the same time, only 316 participants actually received American visas and emigrated.
Unfortunately, the mere fact of winning does not mean that you have received a "green pass to the American dream." In 2021, about 24,000 winners never received an official invitation to an interview, after which they filed a class action lawsuit. The court has not yet made a decision in this case.
