They talked about how works are written and heroes are born. At the end of the hearing, all the children were presented with memorable gif.webpts - books.

And although the post-war period is considered the starting point of the Book Weeks, already in the twenties of the last century, librarians organized various fun events for their little visitors. So, in 1928, a procession of children was held with colorful posters depicting the heroes of their favorite children's books. The following year, an action was organized in the capital to support children's literature.

For the rising post-war generation, it was important to communicate with wise writers who gave them a fairy tale and faith in a bright future. It was clear that one day was not enough for such an interesting event, so the next year a whole week was devoted to the book holiday.

At the end of the 50s of the XX century, after the festive opening in the capital, Children's Book Week began to travel throughout the Soviet Union with the aim of mass popularization of reading among schoolchildren. Live communication with famous writers such as K. Chukovsky, A. Barto, S. Marshak, M. Prishvin inspired the children to be creative and learn new things.
