Mercedes EQE SUV
The most anticipated novelties of the 2023-2024 model year are Mercedes electric crossovers, which, according to experts, will compete with the BMW iX model.
Externally, the new crossover will be close to the Mercedes EQE sedan. The futuristic exterior, eye-catching interior design and impressive instrument panel that flows seamlessly into the center console of the entertainment system make the car especially appealing to a younger audience.
Among the advantages of the model it is worth noting:
- three variations of power units, from 288 hp for front-wheel drive version up to 402 hp for 4Matic modification;
- complex battery management system;
- a set of the most innovative features;
- rims up to 21 inches in diameter.
Also in 2023-2024, these crossovers will be produced in the AMG Line series.
The price of the electric crossover will vary between $74,990-91,500, which is equivalent to 4.6-5.6 million rubles.
Mercedes GLC
The second generation will hit showrooms in 2023. the updated SUV retained recognizable features, body geometry and side glazing line.
Of the innovations that the car received, it is worth noting:
- original head optics design;
- ultra-modern Digital Light headlights (optional), capable of depicting various driver prompts on the road;
- improved drag coefficient 0.29;
- rims max 20’;
- virtual dashboard 12.3’;
- large 11.9' tablet in portrait orientation;
- powerful 15-speaker Burmester audio system.
The engine range of the car will include:
- 204 and 258 hp 2-litre petrol units;
- 2-liter diesel engine with 197 hp;
- Undisclosed GLC 400d 3-litre turbodiesel.
All modifications will be equipped with a 9G-Tronic automatic and a 48-volt starter-generator, which will provide impressive acceleration (maximum 5.6 seconds "to hundreds" ).
Also, the 2023-2024 model range will be replenished with GLC hybrid crossovers from Mercedes:
- GLC 300e will have a total output of 313 hp;
- GLC 300e - 381 HP;
- GLC 300de - 335 HP
Declared capacity of the traction battery for hybrids is 31.2 kWh. Autonomous range from 117 to 120 km.
Prices for the novelty have not yet been announced. It is also unknown whether the manufacturer plans to put the model on the market.
FAW Bestune T99
The flagship Chinese crossover will be presented in 2023 in the Russian market in an updated 5-seater version.
The crossovers of the 2023-2024 model year line will differ from their predecessors mainly in equipment - new items will receive:
- recently introduced new sub-brand logo;
- more functional multimedia system;
- a palette of 12 stylish shades;
- 224 hp 2-litre turbo engine;
- 6 or 8 speed automatic;
- new gear selector.
The price of a Chinese SUV at home varies between $19,000-27,000, which is equivalent to 1.2-1.75 million rubles.
Polestar 3
The list of electric SUVs in 2024 will be replenished with aerodynamic Polestar 3 models based on Precept.
The young brand belongs to Volvo Cars and positions itself as a direct competitor to the popular Tesla brand.
The first Polestar 3 vehicles will be equipped with two electric motors, with a total output of 489 hp, as well as 107 kWh batteries, which will provide about 612 km of autonomous mileage.
Later they promise to release a modified version with 517 hp. with high-capacity batteries 111 kWh.
The manufacturer has not yet named the exact price, but experts believe that the cost of the novelty will vary from $75,700 to $110,000.
Volvo EX90
Volvo announced its abandonment of the internal combustion engine in the near future and, in confirmation of the new concept, already in 2023 we will see a new crossover that will replace the flagship model EX90.
The characteristics of the novelty presented by the manufacturer indicate that it will be a completely new car, because Volvo engineers have replaced almost everything:
- platform on which the car is based;
- geometry of body elements;
- equipment and interior design.
Many experts have already noticed the similarities between the Volvo EX90 and the new Polestar 3, which is not surprising, since the cars were developed by one division of the company.
The model will only be put on the market in a 2-motor version:
- on the front axle, depending on the modification, they will install a motor with 163 or 272 hp;
- rear axle will be driven by a 245 hp unit
About 580 km of autonomous run is designed to provide a battery of 111 kWh.
It is worth noting that the EX90 will not just be an ultra-modern car, but also a full-fledged 5th generation drone, the functionality of which will be provided by:
- standard laser lidar;
- 8 circular cameras;
- 5 radars;
- 16 ultrasonic sensors.
Electric EX90 starts at €105,550 in Europe.
At the same time, a more affordable version with an internal combustion engine will also remain in service. Moreover, another restyling and a long life are predicted for her until 2025.
Honda ZR-V
Crossovers of the 2023-2024 model year will also be replenished with new products from Honda. The new car should occupy a niche between the CR-V and HR-V.
Externally, the model will be very similar to the HR-V, but has smaller dimensions and a number of features, such as:
- panoramic roof instead of classic sunroof;
- custom rim style;
- decoration.
Like many other new products from well-known manufacturers in the 2024 model year, in the future the presented crossovers will be hybrids, but in the first wave they plan to equip the model with a 1.5-liter turbo engine developing 182 hp, as well as a twin-engine CVT .
The price of the Honda ZR-V, which is planned to be produced in China, will start at 1.5 million rubles.
Toyota Grand Highlander
In February 2023, the long-awaited presentation of the Grand Highlander model will take place, which should compete with larger versions of the Jeep Cherokee L.
The novelty will be presented in Chicago, so at the moment there is very little information about it, except perhaps the first photo, in which experts have already managed to make out the inscription "Hybrid Max" , which may indicate certain technical features of the new Highlander.
Kia Sorento
In 2024, KIA plans to introduce an updated version of the popular Sorento model to the market.
The presentation of the novelty is expected in 2023, already today designers are trying to imagine what kind of interior the new model will get.
At the moment it is not known whether this will be an electric car or a hybrid version. Other technical characteristics of the novelty are also classified.
Jaguar F-Pace
In 2023, the model received significant improvements both in terms of design and technical characteristics.
The system designed for the P400e plug-in hybrid will get an upgraded battery pack for an increased range of up to 65 km (+20%).

Great Wall Motors plans to introduce the 2023 and 2024 TANK 300 and TANK 500 crossovers in Russia in the near future.
The cars promise to adapt to the harsh conditions of winter.
Engine range includes:
- 220 hp 2-litre turbo engine;
- 3-liter "six" with 299 hp
Both power units can work in 8 or 9-band automatics.
Cars are interesting for the domestic market with their focus on off-road. Both versions will have functional all-wheel drive and an additional package of options that significantly increase cross-country ability.
Voyah Free
Another luxury Chinese crossover worthy of your attention.
Donfeng will introduce a 5-meter electric car on the market in 2023, the appearance of which was developed by the famous Italdesign studio.
The car will be all-wheel drive and will receive the following characteristics:
- total power of the power plant - from 484 to 680 hp;
- acceleration "to hundreds" - 4.4 s;
- max speed is 200 km/h

Three main factors can contribute to the expansion of the range and revision of prices for new items:
- beginning of cooperation between AvtoVAZ and foreign manufacturers and increasing the assembly capacity of popular models;
- increase in supplies from Chinese automakers, which will allow you to purchase a relatively inexpensive car equipped with the most modern electronics;
