Please note that the calendar for 2024 has 366 days, and the month of February has 29 days, as the coming year will be a leap year!
Calendar Rules
Creating the author's calendar for 2024, we followed the basic rules of compilation:
- basic is a 5-day working week with weekdays (Mon-Fri) and two days off (Sat-Sun);
- a leap year is a year that is a multiple of 4 but not a multiple of 100 (years that are multiples of 400 are leap years);
- next year Russia will celebrate 8 federal holidays (the calendar for Tatarstan in 2024, taking into account regional holidays by months, will also be presented on our website);
- paid "New Year holidays" are provided in January;
- when a federal holiday coincides with Saturday or Sunday, the day off is transferred to the next Monday, unless otherwise adopted by Government Decree;
- the working day preceding a federal holiday is reduced by 1 hour.
Important! The presented calendar for 2024 was compiled taking into account the schedule of transfers officially approved by the Government Decree.

All-Russian holidays
Important! The outgoing 2023 calendar ends on Sunday 12/31/23, and 2024 starts on Monday 01/01/24. Leap year 2024 will end on Tuesday 12/31/24.
In 2024, all regions of the Russian Federation will celebrate 8 federal holidays:

Analyzing the above calendar for 2024, we see that the dates with holidays are arranged in such a way that there will be four shortened working days in a year:

Current transfers
The presidential vacation of 2024 will last a total of 10 days, because the long weekend period starts on Saturday 12/30/23, and will last until Monday 01/08/24 inclusive.
It can be said that there is no “classic” transfer in the new calendar, since only one holiday (January 7) falls on a day off, but even here the day off will be moved not to the next Monday, but to May, in order to provide citizens the longest period of rest for the spring holidays.
There will be atypical transfers of working days to Saturdays in 2024. So, for the formation of long periods of rest in the coming year, Saturdays April 27, November 2 and December 28 will be made working.
Long weekend
If you look closely, the calendar for 2024 distributes federal holidays very well, forming several long days off at once, which allow you to organize a trip to relatives, a country vacation or go on a short tourist trip.
There will be 5 "long weekend" periods in a year:

The only holiday that creates a broken work week in 2024 is Day (06/12/24), which falls on Wednesday.

If we compare the calendar of 2022, 2023 and 2024, we see that there will be 1 more working days - 248 (since the coming year will be a leap year and has 366 calendar days), but 5 of them will be shortened at once.
