Many do not even know what crafts can be made from recycled materials, continuing to throw everything into ordinary trash. However, you should not rush to throw away the "garbage": some materials can be used to make wonderful crafts, while the costs for them will be minimal.
DIY crafts from recycled materials develop imagination, fine motor skills of hands and teach how to find a creative way out of the situation.
What do not need to be thrown away
Very unusual products can be made from some seemingly waste material. If you take material for crafts from recycled materials for children, you should take care, first of all, about its safety.
When working with the material, the child should not be injured or injured. You should also think about the ease of raw materials in the work.
Recyclable materials for crafts:

- On the side, you can also make two small holes, one on each side, and insert wire handles there;
- You can glue old doll shoes to the bottom or make small shoes yourself;
- Now we need to shape the face. It can be painted or glued to the jar. It is better to take a fabric base for the face if a flower pot is made from a jar. The paper can then get wet when watering flowers and tear;
- The craft is ready. It remains only to fill it with soil and sow grass or transplant flowers or put pencils in it.
Crafts from plastic lids
Crafts from recycled materials in a kindergarten from drinking bottle caps look good. You can make an interesting plastic robot. The number of covers will depend on the size of the craft that you want to see as a result.
To work, you only need covers, wire and markers for drawing a face.
Operating instructions:
- In the middle of each lid you need to make a hole;
- Since the wire is quite sharp, keep an eye on the robot assembly process. The covers must be strung on a wire, thus collecting the body, head, arms and legs;
- It remains only to connect the parts of the body to each other and draw the face of the robot;
- The ends of the wire inside the craft must be bent so as not to get hurt on its sharp ends.
Also, a wall panel is often made from multi-colored plastic covers. Many even decorate fences with them in private plots, making large paintings.
Crafts from bottles
Plastic bottles are the most popular type of recyclable material used for creativity. The photo of recycled crafts shows that even whole compositions are collected from them.
A wide range of colors, the difference in shapes allows you to make the following items out of them:
- Cactus garden. Bottles are usually elongated in shape, like these plants, and also quite plastic.When heated, you can change the shape of the plastic, making it even more similar to cacti. And you can leave it the same, just picking up the appropriate bottle;
- Flowers. Plastic is quite easy to cut and changes shape when heated, so you can make beautiful flowers with it in a variety of variations. These are fairly light recycled crafts that can be used both as a separate item and as a decor for something;
- Flower pot or pen holder. Any bottle can be cut, leaving the bottom as a stand. In addition, plastic is easy to paint and decorate, so you can develop an individual design;
- Battery operated candle flashlight. You can cut a window out of a small bottle and put a battery-powered candle there, decorating the resulting flashlight as you wish. It is not recommended to use a real candle, because it can deform the product;
- Baskets. Many needlewomen are now recycling plastic bottles into storage baskets. Bottles are cut into strips, and a product is woven from them. By the way, if you attach handles to it, you get a full-fledged bag.
Crafts from metal lids
From metal covers, in the same way as from plastic, you can make a beautiful panel. The principle of operation is the same, only a little more effort is required during assembly. To create a picture, you only need covers, glue and a base for the product.
Operating instructions:
- First you need to decide what you want to get in the picture. It can be both nature and animal. It will be easier to depict an animal or bird, such as an owl, because less color is required. Next, a sketch is drawn on the basis;
- After that, you can start collecting the picture. They usually start from the bottom edge, gradually filling in all the elements;
- Since the metal covers are quite thin, they can be folded or even cut.
Often, the same volumetric products are collected from metal covers as from plastic ones. You can try to make a similar robot on a metal frame.
Crafts from bushings
A very easy to use and worthless material to work with is a roll from a paper towel or toilet paper. They are easy to cut, wrinkle, stick together.
Tough enough to even hold pencils in, and firm enough.
- To work with the bushing, nothing other than glue, colored paper and pencils or paints is required.
