When the word craft is heard, many imagine a lopsided cup made by some craftsman in pottery classes, or a creepy little animal glued together from colored paper.
Let me tell you a secret: by learning some simple tricks, you can make your home unique and eclectic.
What is eclecticism? From Greek, choosing. This is a combination of selected from different, at first glance, not matching styles and directions. That is, the only one, non-recurring. Any thing you make will be unique and can give your home that touch of charm that turns a room into a home.
Needlework lovers have no boundaries of imagination. All objects and household materials around us are used. There are simple crafts that a beginner can handle, but there are also complex designs that require special tools and time consuming.
We create home comfort with our own hands
There is no person who would not like candles. Living fire, pleasant aroma is synonymous with comfort and tranquility.
Candles are one of the crafts that symbolize home comfort. There is a composition for candles that you can buy in a store.
If you decide to do it yourself, the composition:
- 55-65 paraffin
- 30-40 stearic acid
- 5-10 beeswax.
- Cotton wick
Stages of work:
- The prepared form is greased with vegetable oil. If you are using a decorative candle mold, you do not need to lubricate.
- Secure the wick. To do this, put a stick on the edges of the mold and tie a wick to it so that it is vertical.
- The mixture is melted in a water bath. And at this stage, add flavors, oils, dyes, dried flower leaves.
- Pour the melted mixture into a mold, leave to cool. If the candle molds are transparent, then adding dyes to the mixture to match the tone of your interior, you will achieve harmony and uniqueness.
- Candlestick. A simple candlestick trick is to use two or three clear glasses or glasses, different in shape.
- Tint the candle mass gradually, adding a little more paint to each next candle. Different tones of the same color diversify the palette of the room.
Framing art
Frames for families are a handicraft that can make an artistically decorated salon out of the room. 
An original idea to take photos of your own crafts, such as candles, against the background of your interior.
It is very important to make several, any decorative element in a composition of several items makes the interior more thoughtful and complete.
Example. Your living room (bedroom, nursery) is made in neutral, light colors, 2-3 bright color spots will be appropriate. Let's say you made 2-3 candles in the colors of the room. This means that the frames should be highlighted with color and structure.
If the photos are small, use cardboard much larger than the photo for the base, the frame will turn out to be large and will attract attention.

- The balloon is inflated. A jute rope greased with PVA glue is wound on it.The glue is diluted with water (1: 1), the rope is wetted before wrapping the ball, wrapping slowly and carefully, laying out parallel or crossed lines, or intricate patterns.
- When the intended surface is finished, leave to dry. Coat 2-3 times with the same solution, drying between applications.
- The ball is pierced and pulled out, and here you can paint it with colored, gold, silver spray paint.
- If you make several of these balls, of different sizes, but the same color, you get a great ceiling lamp.
Magic lamp
A craft for the home can be a lamp for a nursery.
- Take a simple boring table lamp. Use small toys from which your child has already grown.
- For example, a few rubber animals or dinosaurs, any figurines that your child likes.
- We paint the figures in the color of your choice with spray paint.
- After dry, glue it onto the lamp stand in the order you choose.
- The glue should be chosen depending on the material from which the toys are made.
- If these are small parts, use hot silicone, if the parts are large, it is important to choose the right glue.
How to store treasures
Turning dull boxes into beautiful treasure boxes is always an appropriate craft.
- Use cardboard shoe boxes, or a plastic container, bucket, laundry basket - whatever you don't like anymore and think: throw it away or can be used somehow.
- You can always turn the ugly into the beautiful. Use your imagination and good taste.
- Cover a box or container with burlap, or a fabric you like, decorate with a silk ribbon with a bow, beautiful buttons or beads.
- Glue with a jute rope and make an edging of lace or shiny ribbon.
Fabrics - a symbol of comfort

- Embroidery, knitting.
Home crafts made from fabrics are troublesome, but! Decorate your home with one-of-a-kind objects. And when enthusiastic friends ask where you bought it, you can boast that you are the designer, or say (which will also be true) that this is the only designer item.
If the style of your home is restrained and laconic, then 2-3 sofa cushions made of bright and textured fabrics will add freshness and originality. If your home already has enough color, then a few burlap pillows with a detail of wide lace will add a restrained elegance.
