On winter, frosty evenings, there is often nothing to do but watch TV or chat on the Internet. But I really want to do something useful and fun.
Why not try yourself at making crafts - especially if you involve a child in this. You can make a swan craft, because it has long been considered a symbol of family and loyalty.
Choosing material for crafts
To make a swan, you do not need to run somewhere and buy the necessary raw materials, it can be perfectly found at home. For this, literally everything that has long been lying idle is suitable, for example:
- White or colored paper. With its help, you will get a wonderful bird using the origami method, both modular and classic.
- Cardboard. Perfect for creating flat crafts - appliques.
- Plastic bottles. You can give a second life to this material and create a beautiful swan with it. The size can be absolutely any - from small to large.
- Felt fabric and rhinestones. You can make a brooch or any other decoration from this raw material.
- Pine or spruce cones. Natural raw materials are ideal for creating a do-it-yourself swan craft, which can be transferred to a school or kindergarten exhibition.

After all, each technique is very interesting and exciting - unique in its own way.
Therefore, we will consider the most common options for performing from simple to more complex.
Origami snow-white bird
Japanese art makes it possible to create two beautiful birds using origami - classic and modular. The second model will look more advantageous against this background, thanks to its volume, beautiful shapes and grace.
To make an origami craft in the shape of a swan, you will need the following materials:
- Snow-white paper;
- Watercolor;
- Brushes.
And, of course, time, patience and the ability to follow instructions. For everything to work out, you need:
- Take a sheet of paper and divide it into equal parts - sixteen.
- Bend the resulting square horizontally and vertically.
- Turn to the center of the edge of the product, then turn it to the opposite side.
- Leave some free space both above and below, tuck the bottom edges.
- Raise corners - the module is ready.
- Make the remaining number of spare parts (modules) by analogy.
- Insert the modules into each other, form the frame of the bird.
- After five rows, turn the edges of the product outward, expand the body of the swan itself.
- Form the wings after the eighth row.
- Select blanks for the future neck of the product without going through the row completely.
- Fold the tail from the rows in the amount of five, gradually reduce the number of modules.
- Insert two paper triangles into the holes of the previous modules to form a neck.
If something remains incomprehensible, it is better to turn to the video and watch everything in detail.
Multi-colored swan made of cardboard
Contrasting shades will allow you to make a swan craft made of paper or cardboard more original and voluminous. After all, the applique itself has no volume. To create it, you need to take:
- White or black cardboard;
- Glue, scissors;
- Stencil.
After everything is ready, you can get to work.
- To do this, you need to fold the sheet exactly in the middle, attach a template for making a swan on the seamy side and circle it.
- After that, carefully cut out the details.
- To create contrast on the wings of the swan, glue the rippled strips of black color, draw the eyes, the beak, and the swan is ready.
- The craft is quite simple, so the child can make it on his own under the watchful supervision of adults.
Felt brooch in the shape of a swan
To create a stylish accessory, you will need fabric material (felt) of a light blue or purple hue, a piece of dense plastic (packaging from a flash card), a pin, various beads, rhinestones, small decorative things, scissors, glue and, of course, a needle and thread …
First you need:
- Take the finished product template and transfer the swan figurine to a plastic sheet;
- Glue a bright bead or small button where the bird's eye will be;
- Paste over the contour of the product with small rhinestones as indicated in the photo of the swan craft or come up with your own drawing;
- Cut off excess plastic;
- Check the quality of the glued products;
- On the seamy side, fix the felt pad with glue;
- Remove the remaining felt.
The resulting product can be presented to a friend, mother or grandmother, or you can keep it for yourself so that you can admire the resulting brooch at any time.
Original bird from plastic bottles
There are a huge number of all kinds of swan-shaped bottle crafts. They can be large for decorating a personal plot, medium and even small as small souvenirs.
You can choose any method, for example, a bird with a gorgeous plumage.
To make it you will need:
- Large plastic bottle with a capacity of about two liters;
- A couple of smaller pieces;
- High strength glue;
- Scissors or utility knife.
The mood and desire to make an amazing craft. To do this, you must follow the plan:
- Place a large bottle sideways;
- Insert the wire into the neck - this will be the bird's neck;
- Glue it to the plastic;
- Cut wings from smaller bottles;
- Spread a layer of glue on the bottle evenly;
- Fix the wings at a distance of 1/3 of the length of the product;
- Attach a beak made from a bottle cork.
That's all, the product is ready and can be placed in the garden, at home, in a word, wherever you want.
In addition to the proposed options, the craft can be made from other materials at hand. It is simply not possible to consider all the options, since there are countless of them.
