Photo of the craft "Dove"

In the photo you can see one of the paper crafts for children we offer. This is a dove, a symbol of peace. The figurine is voluminous, with beautifully spread wings.

  • Its color can be pure white, and brown, and just gray, and gray (gray-light blue), you can add specks for a change by painting a ready-made figure or gluing the spots using the applique technique. The decoration depends on the specific purpose of the assignment.
  • This craft can be used separately, and later for a festive panel: for example, with a green olive branch in its beak (or a red flower) against a blue sky.
  • The dove will stand out in relief on the plane if it is made of soft paper. Then the folds of the unfolded wings will gently flap, creating a magnificent framing. It all depends on your imagination.

Description of the creation of crafts "Dove"

You will need:

  • Colored (double-sided) sheet of paper;
  • Scissors;
  • Stationery glue or glue stick.

Progress:

  1. Cut off the excess from a sheet of colored paper to make a square. Don't bend it yet.
  2. Place the square with the corner up, so that it looks like it consists of an upper triangle and a lower one. Lay, stepping back about a quarter from the upper corner, 3-4 folds (for voluminous wings) in the direction "away from you." About half of the lower triangle remains without folds.
  3. Then bend the resulting workpiece in half along the vertical axis in the direction "away from you", ie. the reverse side of the workpiece will be inside. Happened?
  4. Place the workpiece with the fold up, the ends of the wings down. The former top corner should be on the left (head) and the bottom corner should be on the right (tail). Fit the bent ends of the future wings to each other and carefully smooth them out with your fingers.
  5. After that, bend these wing corners up in turn: the left wing of the flying pigeon from the ends in the front part after the fold should be closer to the tail than the right wing, which will turn out from the ends with folds behind the workpiece. This creates the effect of a flying dove.
  6. It remains to bend the corner on the left side of the head and glue the corner back so that it looks like a beak, paint on or glue the eye. And on the right, trim a little to form a round tummy and make longitudinal cuts for the tail feathering. In order for the figure to keep its shape, it is recommended to glue the body from the inside. That's all!
