Popular materials for making a boat

To make such a boat, you must follow the following instructions:
- A rectangular sheet is prepared, it can be white or multi-colored. The sheet is folded in half and on the side where there is a fold, the middle is outlined.
- Focusing on the center, you should bend the sides, you should get the form of triangles.
- Those sections that protrude from below are bent up. Initially, this is done on one side, then the workpiece is turned over, and on the other hand, the same upward bend is made.
- There are corners on the sides that need to be refilled. Initially, the corner located on top is bent, for this it is wound up behind the main part of the craft. Similar actions are performed with the lower corner.
- The workpiece is straightened and given the shape of a square. The bottom corner, placed at the top layer of the figure, folds up. The craft is turned over, and similar actions are performed.
- The workpiece is straightened out again and folded into a square. Then the upper corners are gently pulled to the sides. Thus, a boat is obtained, for greater stability of which its bottom and sides are straightened.
Such a craft can be done with a child and will be much more interesting if you use colored paper.
Use of cardboard
For a greater scale of making crafts, you can make a boat out of cardboard. In this case, a number of materials will be required:
- Cardboard - it is best to settle for corrugated;
- Scissors;
- Glue;
- The container is deep;
- Materials for painting the product;
- The cloth;
- Double sided tape.
Having prepared all the tools, you can start making the vessel:
- Details of the future ship are cut out of cardboard. The templates for the details of the craft are presented in the photo.
- All parts are connected to each other using double-sided tape.
- In parallel, a match is made, for this they take a wooden stick and 6-7 circles of cardboard, with a diameter of about 6 cm.
- Then you can start decorating the ship. For this, glue and water are diluted in a bowl in a 1: 1 ratio and the resulting mixture is coated with pre-crushed white paper. Pieces of paper are glued all over the surface of the boat. Thus, 5-6 layers of the composition are applied, and then the glue is allowed to dry.
- Then, using paints and brushes, you can paint the ship as you wish.
The prepared piece of fabric can be used to create a flag, which will later be attached to the mast.
A boat in the form of an applique
If, in addition to the child's entertainment, there is a desire to develop his fine motor skills and creativity, then you can make a craft boat in the form of an application.
To do this, you will need to stock up on a number of materials:
- Colored paper and cardboard;
- Pencil;
- Glue;
- Paper napkin.
The peculiarity of the applique is that already pre-prepared elements are attached to the base. Therefore, if this type of entertainment is planned with young children, then the following templates are prepared:
- Ship;
- 2 sails;
- Flag;
- 2 seagulls;
- 2 waves;
- 2 suns - one more, the other smaller.

- 2 suns are glued onto a colored base. Small on top of large.

- Moreover, the large sail is not fully glued, but only one edge of it is glued so that the craft comes out slightly voluminous.

Making a boat out of shells
These kinds of crafts can always be purchased on the seaside and brought home to remind you of a wonderful vacation.
But if there is no desire to spend money, and there is free time, then you can make a boat out of shells on your own, this craft option will be even more memorable.
The following materials will be required:
- Large shell for the base of the ship;
- 2 flat shells, will act as a sail;
- Wood skewers will act as sail locks;
- Threads;
- Glue;
- Paint and varnish.
Now it's worth figuring out how to make a craft boat from these materials. To do this, follow the instructions:
- The base of the ship is placed on a pedestal. It can be any item, including a simple countertop, as long as the sink is in a stable position.
- Skewers are taken and alternately glued to the sink in an upright position.
- They take flat rounded shells and stick to the skewers, thus forming the sails.
- It is better to turn the shells with a pattern in one direction, so they look more spectacular.
- All masts are tied with threads. And to add texture to the sailboat, it can be painted red. Then everything is varnished.
