One of the most common methods of teaching children to work is school assignments for making various crafts. For many parents, such a teacher's assignment is a real headache: they say they need to purchase some materials, start making things themselves and waste precious time.
Parents need not worry. There are many ways to help your child make an original craft for school with their own hands.
To do this, it is not at all necessary to purchase expensive materials or waste time, it will take several minutes to work, and the simplest things can serve as materials:
- Paper;
- Plasticine;
- Vegetables;
- Sunflower seeds;
- Disposable tableware;
- Plastic bottles, etc.
You won't need any unusual tools either. Scissors, glue, pencils, markers, paints will be used.
Ideas for toddlers
You need to start with the simplest things and use the so-called waste materials. The main thing in the work is taking into account the interests of the child. Who else, if not a mother, should know what her child loves most of all - to draw, paint or sculpt.
It is on the baby's favorite pastime that an emphasis must be made. The adult's role should be limited to guidance, prompting and overseeing the safety of the "production".
Independent work of the child will allow him to reveal his capabilities and teach him to correctly express his thoughts and feelings.
Usually, all children are happy to do modeling. Why not try making crafts for elementary school from plasticine?

Plasticine crow
To create a cartoon character you will need:
- Plasticine of different colors;
- Stick for cutting material;
- Toothpick;
- The board on which the work will take place.
Manufacturing steps:
- Two small balls of approximately the same size roll out of black plasticine.
- An even smaller ball is rolled out of the gray material and then flattened.
- It should look like a cake.
- On the "cake" shallow cuts are made around the entire circumference.
- Excess plasticine is cut off along the cuts. It turns out an asterisk with several rays.
- Place a black ball on the star.
- Depressions are made on the sides of the ball.
- Place the blank on the second black ball.
- The wings of a bird are made of black material and attached to the body.
- The legs of a bird are molded from gray plasticine and fixed on the workpiece.
- A crow's beak is made from a plastic white material.
- Now it's time to fill in the recesses on the "head": white plasticine with small black specks (pupils) is embedded in the holes.
It remains to attach a small tail and you can proudly take the crow to the school corner!
Twin dolls
Making paper crafts for school is not difficult. For work you will need:
- A pair of wooden skewers;
- Paper in two colors;
- Pencils, scissors and glue;
- Beads or buttons;
- Elastic bands or ropes.
Progress
- Accordions are formed from two square sheets of paper of different colors.
- The accordions are tied to the skewers in such a way that the lower part is shaped like a skirt, and the upper part is shaped like a standing collar. The strings themselves will become the hands of the toys.
- Two circles are cut out - future faces.
- The elements of the face are formed - the nose, the mouth and the eyes of the bead are glued.
- "Faces" are glued to the top of the toys.
The twins, in different colored dresses, are ready.
All ingenious is simple
Naturally, there is no need to talk about the brilliant performance of the child's craft for the school. However, very often the manufacture of original gizmos requires the most simple steps.
Such a simple work can be attributed to the crafts of a hedgehog from seeds and plasticine. No more materials are required.
- During the first stage of work, the body of the animal and its head are formed from light plasticine.
- The second stage - black spots are attached - the nose and eyes of the thorny animal.
- The final stage will be a simple "filling" of the back of the hedgehog with seeds, so that their sharp parts stick out.
Instead of sunflower seeds, you can use needles or pumpkin seeds, i.e. what is at hand at the moment.
Fruits and vegetables
In the photographs of crafts for school, you can see that not only the usual ones are suitable for creating an original little thing.

Unusually showy animals or insects are obtained from the most common apples, beets and cabbage.
Caterpillar
From several green apples, a couple of twigs of flowers and pieces of white and black plasticine, you can make a cute insect.
- Four apples are shaped like the body of a caterpillar (you can fasten it with plasticine).
- The fifth is placed on one end of the "body" like a head.
- The eyes and mouth of the insect are formed with plasticine.
- A wreath is woven from the branches of flowers and placed on the head of the caterpillar.
- The whole craft is placed on a board decorated with leaves.
Baby elephant
Beets, carrots and plasticine make a very cute cub of the largest land animal on earth.
- There is a condition - one beet should be smaller than the other, but with a long tail, which will play the role of a head and trunk.
- A larger root vegetable (the body of an elephant calf) should also have a process, but a small one (the animal's tail).
- Legs are made from carrots.
- Plasticine ears, eyes and mouth.
- All elements are fastened together.
The baby elephant is set on a stand with leaves or grass lined with it.
The main disadvantage of handicrafts made from vegetables and fruits is a short shelf life.
Products tend to lose their presentation, dry out and rot. However, for a certain time, such crafts can become a decoration of a school corner filled with “products” made by kids with their own hands.
School theme
A separate place is occupied by gizmos, which, in addition to the aesthetic, can also perform an applied function. The easiest way to make school-themed crafts such as bookmarks or cup delivery.
- The bookmark will require cardboard, scissors, glue and a ruler.
- First, cut off a strip of cardboard about five centimeters wide.
- You can decorate the bookmark with cut-out pictures of flowers, butterflies or photographs of family members.
- At the other end, a small hole is made into which a beautiful lace is passed and the bookmark is ready.
- From popsicle sticks, a sheet of thick paper, using glue, scissors, paint, an original stand for pencils and pens is easily made.
- The sticks should be painted and dried.
- Meanwhile, the base of the stand is cut out of cardboard and glued.
- Painted workpieces are pressed tightly and glued onto the prepared workpiece.
- A beautiful functional little thing is ready.
