DIY candy toys for the Christmas tree - you can eat!

Let's remember an amazing and long forgotten tradition - to decorate the New Year tree with sweets. Children will be delighted with the process of making a toy itself, and then with eating it. Making toys from candy is very simple - you need a pack of colored caramel and 15 minutes of time. So…

Prepare:

  • Colored caramel;
  • Metal cookie cutters;
  • Baking paper;
  • Lubricating oil.

Cover the baking sheet with baking paper, grease the paper a little with oil. Better yet, use a baking bag instead of paper. Put the molds on the paper, put several caramels in the molds.

It is very important that the molds and baking sheet have a flat surface and fit snugly enough to each other. Otherwise, the caramels will flow out through the gaps.

Now we put the future candy toys in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. The melting time for different caramels is different, but generally it is 5-7 minutes. It is necessary to follow the process: as soon as the sweets melt, we immediately carefully take out. Otherwise, the sugar will burn out and become bitter.

While the candies are still warm, make a hole with a knife.

When they are completely cool, we take them out of the mold and tie a ribbon or string. Here is such a deliciousness-beauty! If you decide to eat them, then it is better to make two servings - one to decorate the Christmas tree, the second on the table. :)
