Caesar salad at home, recipe with photo step by step, delicious!

Caesar salad is one of the most delicious and famous salads. It is served in any restaurant and there are a huge number of recipes for it. The salad was named after its inventor Caesar Cardini, an Italian chef who owned a chain of restaurants in the 1920s and 1930s.

We offer a simple version of this dish that can be easily prepared at home. And it turns out very tasty!

For Caesar salad you will need:

  • Half smoked chicken breast.
  • 8-10 Cherry tomatoes.
  • a bunch of lettuce or Chinese cabbage.
  • 100 grams of hard cheese.
  • purchased crackers (crackers can be prepared by yourself by frying bread in sunflower oil with garlic).

For the sauce:

  • 2 yolks from hard-boiled eggs;
  • 2 tbsp. tablespoons of sunflower oil (refined);
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • half tsp mustard;
  • 1 tsp vinegar;
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice.

Cooking Caesar salad dressing

Pour the oil into a bowl, squeeze the garlic into it through a press. Heat the oil a little in the microwave so that the garlic smells.

Mash the yolks with a fork, add mustard, vinegar and lemon juice.

Add the oil and garlic to the yolks and mix well, the dressing is ready.

Salad preparation

Tear lettuce or Chinese cabbage with your hands into pieces, put on a dish.

Cut the chicken into slices and place on the salad.

Cherry cut into 2 or 4 pieces (depending on size), put on the chicken.

Add croutons.

Sprinkle with finely grated cheese.

Put the croutons on top, and gradually adding the sauce, gently mix the Caesar.

If you do not plan to serve it right away, then add the croutons just before serving. Bon Appetit!
