New Year is a time of magic, miracles, new expectations, as well as kindergarten and school matinees. For these events to bring joy and an unforgettable experience, a good script is needed. For New Year's matinees, a fabulous plot is suitable, but with high school students the situation is more complicated. They don't really trust fairy tales, but they probably dream of long journeys.
We offer a scenario in which senior students in grades 9, 10 and 11 will get acquainted with the traditions of celebrating everyone's beloved New Year in various places around the world. At the amazing holiday there will be Santa Clauses from different countries, fascinating contests, dances, amateur performances, on which the children will have to work on themselves and show their creative abilities.
Required Attributes
In the center of the hall there is a decorated Christmas tree, the walls are decorated with balloons, tinsel, posters with New Year's greetings, drawings and photographs reflecting important and funny moments of class or school life. If there is no stage or podium in the room, then you need to allocate a small section of the hall for the performance of artists.

Hello, friends! An exciting journey across countries and continents awaits you today. Grandfather Frost invited amazing guests to the ball, each of them will try to please you and tell you how the New Year is celebrated in different parts of the world. But how will we meet them if the Christmas tree is off? And in order for it to light up, you need to remember the children's fun - a round dance.
To the soundtrack of the fiery New Year's melody, the Snow Maiden walks in a circle and invites those who want to become in the coming year to join:

The round dance is held at a fast, danceable pace. When most of those present are involved in the action, the lights on the tree light up and Santa Claus appears.

There is an interesting custom in my country. On New Year's Eve, everyone is trying to get rid of old things in order to clear the space for everything new and beautiful. This should be done in a very original way - everything that is boring and useless is simply thrown out of the windows onto the street. So, if you happen to celebrate the New Year in sunny Italy, beware of flying refrigerators.
And the very first meeting in the new year is also very important for Italians. If a priest, a young girl or a child comes across on the way, this is a bad omen. It is considered a great success to meet a hunchbacked old man.
A stooped, hunched-over grandfather with a big nose appears. Attire: knee-length pants, knee-highs, shoes, red vest and cap.

Two teams of volunteers are recruited, each receiving a bag of small items (boxes, crumpled wads of paper, fountain pens, any small items). At some distance from the teams, the trolls set up two waste baskets. Participants take turns trying to throw the maximum number of objects into them. The trolls calculate the catch and determine the winning team.
A new character appears on the scene - Father Christmas. Dressed like Santa Claus, but with a long beard.
BR: All the participants are great, and each of you will receive a well-deserved prize. And I will reward you - Father Christmas or Phaser Christmas. In my homeland, in England, on New Year's Day it is customary to give memorable souvenirs, which the gif.webpted person can choose himself. This is what you will do now.
The children are invited to go to the bag with small gif.webpts and, putting their hand into it, pull out a souvenir at random. At each next competition, the algorithm is repeated.

After that, the DM offers a dance break or demonstrates some homework in the form of song and dance numbers.
Sn: In Panama, the coming of the New Year is greeted with an unimaginable noise: bells are ringing, car horns are buzzing, residents at this time are shouting and knocking in every way. Let's celebrate the New Year in Panamanian style!
