New Year's drawing for children is an interesting technique with salt!

All children love to draw, this process literally plunges them into a meditative state, they are ready to enthusiastically create their little masterpieces. Why not help your child create an unusual painting using an interesting technique?

Take a thick sheet of paper for painting with watercolors, evenly glue it around the edges with masking tape, this will be a frame for your future painting. From the torn strips of tape, make silhouettes of tree trunks and branches, glue them to paper, also glue the silhouette of the month. The tape can be used in any color, you still have to peel it off and throw it away.

Paint over the entire sheet of paper with dark blue watercolor.

While the paint has not yet had time to dry, sprinkle the leaf with coarse salt, “salt” the leaf generously. When the picture dries up, the salt must be gently shaken off or swept off the sheet with a dry brush.

Remove the tape so as not to damage the sheet. Draw out the outlines of the trees to give the picture definition and detail. You can also paint shadows from trees or mounds. Add white snowflakes with paint if you like.

Experiment with this technique, it works even for 2 year olds, naturally with the full help of adults. In a similar way, you can depict the sea or just the starry sky. By the way, a similar effect can be achieved if you just splash some water on a wet background, you will also get interesting and bizarre patterns. It is interesting that sometimes salt, reacting with paints, gives a new shade, for example, it turns out not white specks of "snow", but pink ones. But this does not spoil the picture at all, but makes it fabulous.

Before starting the craft, check how easily the tape peels off the paper. You may need to find other materials. But it is not the result that is important, but the fun creative process of work, so let the young artist enjoy it to the fullest.
