My sister and I have a difference of only 2 years. It is clear that in such a situation there was always competition for everything in the world. Once my parents, when we were teenagers, bought themselves a tour to Egypt to celebrate the New Year. My sister Olga and I were incredibly happy. Not because Mom and Dad are having a great time. First of all, we were pleased with the opportunity to be alone and to celebrate the holiday the way we want.
We began to draw plans and think about who to invite. The key mistake was that each of us did it silently. As a result, the plan for the New Year was purely individual in nature.
We found it out on December 31st. The sister began to decorate the table. I was outraged by this, because with my friends we were going to have a party on the pillows and the floor had to be free for food and drinks.
Parents bought food for us in advance to make sure we don’t waste money on all sorts of nonsense. But they did not know that we would invite friends to our place, so we bought everything with donated funds for the New Year holidays.
My friends and my sister's friends began to approach. As a result, they saw a stupid picture when my sister and I carried a bowl of fruit, salads from one room to another. At first secretly. Then with embittered faces. The new year could be a disaster. One of my sister's friends even left with a goodbye phrase:
"New Year is a very good holiday, but apparently not in this family!"
Unfortunately, this did not stop me and my sister. It is not known how events would unfold further. Suddenly my friend Oleg took both of us by the hand, led us to the confused guests and said:
- Guys! We have a vacant apartment, a lot of food and a lot of common interests. Let's get acquainted and celebrate the holiday together!
My sister and I looked at each other. None of us expected such a turn.
Everything turned out just fine. Now we remember with a laugh our transitions with salads from one room to another in front of the amazed audience. That New Year, Oleg looked at my sister differently. They have been dating for three years. Let's see if the story of their family began that New Year?
