The expected design of the upcoming 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV was recently shown in the first images.
Judging by the first high-quality computer teasers, the new Prado in style will resemble its “big brother” in the face of the promising Toyota Land Cruiser 300, which is expected in 2021. At the same time, the body front and rear reminds of the current model.
Appearance
The renders presented indicate that the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2021-2022 will receive a striking appearance that fully corresponds to all the modern trends of the Japanese manufacturer. The front end will be completely redesigned in comparison with previous generations, and the stern will still be recognizable, as it will acquire only more stylish taillights with a readable relief. On the back door, there is also the usual massive casing with the corporate stamped name of the brand and model of the car for the spare wheel, which emphasizes the brutality of the car and its off-road orientation.
If you look even lower, you can see the structural chin, which is also painted in the main body color of the car, and this time stands out with a relatively small air intake. On the edges of the front bumper there are curvy slots that resemble shark gills. These ducts provide ventilation for the braking system. In the center of the front part, the company logo still flaunts, which focuses all the luxury and build quality of the car.
Looking at the side of the car, one can clearly see the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2021-2022, already familiar to all motorists, which habitually received both angular and at the same time rounded outlines. The premium status of the model is emphasized by a neat threshold that does not bulge, as in previous versions, but neatly emphasizes the border of the body. Above all this, massive wheel arches hang, looking at which it immediately becomes clear that we are talking about a car that can prove itself not only in the city, but also off-road.
Returning to the rear of the car, we can distinguish a neat rear bumper, which looks quite simple against the background of a massive SUV with large dimensions and does not linger on itself, despite the stylish decorative strip and false slots for the exhaust. The very same exhaust pipe is located neatly under the bumper, only slightly protruding beyond its borders. We should also mention the spoiler hanging over the stern, which acts as a protective visor against precipitation. It hides the rear compact glass and access to the luggage compartment.
Unfortunately, in the photo the car is shown only on the outside, and there is no way to look inside the premium SUV, however, if we assume, then, most likely, it will inherit all the bright and thoughtful details that its predecessor could boast. Most likely, the car will also receive a practical, rich and technically perfect interior.

The Network has leaked new details about the technical "stuffing" of the Toyota LC Prado 2022 model year. The car will be powered by an upgraded version of the current 2.8-liter diesel unit and boast improved fuel efficiency without compromising power or torque.
Speaking of power, it is expected that the Prado 2022 with a turbodiesel under the hood will produce about 204 forces and 500 Nm of torque. In addition, the Japanese will equip the SUV with a hybrid unit based on a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine.
CarsGuide is confident that a version of the Toyota LC Prado with a gasoline-hybrid installation will be released in 2023, after the premiere of the turbodiesel model of the rogue. Judging by the power of the latter, this will be the basic version.
The next generation Prado will be constructed on the global TNGA architecture. The overall length of the machine will be about 4825 mm (-125 mm), width - 1885 mm (-95 mm), and height - 1830 mm (-50 mm). The size of the wheelbase will also decrease by 110 mm, to 2790 mm.
They don't talk about the Prado 2022 price tag yet, but it is known that a completely new Toyota Land Cruiser 300 will be more expensive than the "Dvuhsotka" by about 7 thousand dollars (500 thousand rubles). This should guide buyers: take now or wait a year and a half.
