The world famous adventurer returns to the big screens. The permanent Harisson Ford will reappear in a prominent role. The director of the future masterpiece, Steven Spielberg, sees no one else in this image. The script was written a couple of years ago, but it may still be amended. The release date for Indiana Jones 5 will be July 28, 2022.
Plot
Although previously famous characters appear in different films, each of the parts of the cycle has a separate complete plot. The details of the script for the fifth scene were not disclosed. The creators admit that some points are still being finalized.
Only one thing is known about the content of future adventures: several daring characters, including Indiana Jones, will travel and take risks to obtain important artifacts. Each of the treasures that the heroes are interested in are always of great value. But not material. The searched antiquities, according to legends, have powerful abilities that have no analogues in the world.
The details of the plot are kept secret, but it is already known for sure thatIndiana Jones will not die… This was stated by Spielberg himself, dispelling all the rumors about the death of the character. Producer Frank Marshall noted that the new film will be a continuation of the history of the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. But, apparently, not the most direct, because Shia Labeouf in the role of Jones' son will no longer be here.

- Harrison Ford is a peculiar and witty archaeologist who searches for treasures and artifacts that have strange and powerful powers. Honest, courageous and fair.
- Cate Blanchett is a negative character. Indiana's smartest rival, born in the Soviet Union. Irina Spalko is close to Stalin, has toughness and uncompromising attitude.
- Karen Allen played the role of Merion Rayenwood on the screen. Beauty, one of the former women of the protagonist. She controls her own destiny, knows how to make important decisions quickly.

Lucasfilm's iconic Indiana Jones franchise has been owned by the same director since the first episode. And this is its main difference from another legendary saga - "Star Wars". But, to the chagrin of fans, Steven Spielberg decided to give up the director's chair and confine himself to producing. A holy place is never empty, and it was replaced by James Meingold, known for such films as "Girl, Interrupted," "Ford vs. Ferrari," "Train to Yuma." Perhaps Meingold will be able to rethink the image of Indiana Jones and bring his vision into it. Hopefully, it's not as dark as it was with Hugh Jackmon's character in Logan.
The first film of Indiana Jones was created by the brilliant creative duo of Spielberg and George Lucas. After a huge success, they continued their partnership until Lucasfilm was sold to Disney in 2012. Lucas refused to shoot a sequel, but, as many critics are sure, this could go into the hands of the fifth part of the saga. After all, it was George who insisted on the inclusion in the fourth part of the sci-fi elements that eventually ruined Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

- George Lucas announced that the fifth part will be the final in a series of paintings about the daring archaeologist. - A couple of years ago, it was reported that Bradley Cooper would play the next role of Jones. Ford has openly announced that these are just rumors and he has no intention of ditching one of his favorite characters.
- Cate Blanchett and Karen Allen will not participate in the sequel. The studio and Karen did not agree on the price for her work, and Kate's character is not present in the script for the future picture. For the same reason, Shia LaBeouf will not appear on the screen.
