He alth Day in 2024: what date, holiday date

World He alth Day is always celebrated on the same day. In 2024, it will also be celebrated in the spring - April 7th. The main meaning of this date is to draw people's attention to how important it is to take care of yourself, and once again to remind you that it is much easier to prevent a disease than to fight an ailment.

Historic moments

The initiative for the international appearance of this important day belongs to the World He alth Organization (WHO). It develops scientific programs and research, creates standards in the field of human he alth and monitors their implementation.

Also, employees of the organization assess the situation that is developing in he althcare, and if something goes wrong, they take measures to improve it. The first He alth Day was held on July 22 in 1948. However, two years later, the holiday began to be celebrated on April 7th. The significant date has been moved to the day the WHO Constitution comes into force. In 2024, it remains unchanged.

Theme and motto

Traditions

The start of the celebrations is traditionally given by the UN Secretary General. In his message, he focuses on problems that require immediate solutions.There are also calls to the governments of leading states about the need to combine efforts in the two most important areas.

We need to reduce the risks to people's lives and act in concert in the face of natural and man-made disasters.

Holiday programs vary by country and region. In the Russian Federation, traditionally, much attention is paid to educational events:
