Quest Harry Potter script for children: at home, on the street, with your own hands

Children of all ages love fairy tales, amazing stories and adventures. Create a unique holiday for your child and arrange a quest based on the famous novel by J.K. Rowling "Harry Potter". The tasks can be made simple or complicated, depending on the age of the participants in the game. We offer ready-made quest scenarios for children in the style of "Harry Potter".

Children's quest "Harry Potter. Deathly Hallows "

Birthday is a holiday that children look forward to, regardless of age. It is quite simple to organize an unforgettable surprise for kids: it is enough to invite animators-characters of your favorite cartoons. But kids 10-12 years old are waiting for an original holiday with miracles, contests, tasks, theatrical costumes and, of course, prizes.

To arrange a quest on your own at home is not an easy, but quite interesting idea. It will take some preliminary preparation, but the eyes of the birthday man and guests, shining with happiness, are worth the time spent by the parents.

How to organize a children's quest:

  1. Think about the place where the exciting event will take place. If a birthday is celebrated during the warm season, you can arrange an outdoor quest. You can transfer tasks related to the Forbidden Forest to the street, and hold the rest of the contests at home. The main thing is to allow space in the apartment, because children love to frolic and run, so they need space.
  2. Prepare props. First of all, children should dress up as real magicians and sorcerers. You can rent the costumes or sew them yourself. In the latter case, you will need black lining fabric for the cloaks of young wizards. Hogwarts had 4 faculties, so you can sew faculty emblems or tie multi-colored scarves to each cloak. Do not forget about wizard hats, which can also be crafted or bought in specialty stores. You will also need magic wands, unusual sweets, as well as the "Deathly Hallows": a resurrecting stone, an elderberry wand (an ordinary branch cleared of bark will do), an invisibility cloak (cloak). It remains to print or draw invitations, tasks and pictures for the quest.
  3. Decorate the house with images of the main characters, candles, keys hanging from a rope, small pumpkins. You can lay out the wall with cardboard bricks. Pour water tinted with food dyes into decorative jars - this will be a magic potion. Put the spreading hat in a prominent place (you can use your grandmother's hat).
  4. Now the most difficult thing remains - to come up with tasks for young magicians and sorcerers. To do this, you need to arm yourself with books about Harry Potter to make the quest realistic. The main goal of the game is to defeat the evil wizard and find the Deathly Hallows - a wand, a stone and a cloak.
  5. Lay out the notes with assignments in hiding places. These can be very different places in the apartment: flower pots, books, shelves, household appliances, vases.

Choose places where it is convenient for children to look for clues. Naturally, it is better not to put notes in a basket with dirty linen or a closet with clothes.

  1. Prepare original dishes for young wizards in advance: pumpkin pie, cheese and herb panicles. Decorative jars with jelly spiders and worms, chocolate frogs look spectacular.

Beginning of the game

Home quest "Harry Potter" begins with the fact that children are divided into four faculties, as it was in the plot of the work. Prepare a hat that each participant puts on their head.Record four audio recordings in advance with the names of the faculties, as if the hat speaks itself.

An adult disguised as Rubeus Hagrid comes out to the guests (you will need a wig, false beard, sheepskin coat, boots). He reports that He, whose name cannot be called, decided to spoil the holiday for the birthday man and guests. Valiant wizards, teachers of Hogwarts, hid the Deathly Hallows and gif.webpts in a safe place, and young wizards must find them.

Task number 1

Keys hang over the door. Children must catch up with one key on brooms (one of the adults will run away with it in their hands). When they have caught up with the key, they open a box containing coins and a note with an assignment.

Task number 2

Participants must count the coins and write in words in the boxes on paper what the amount is. The selected cells will contain letters that will form a hint. For example, one hundred rubles - it means that the next clue is on the table.

Task number 3

The note says that Harry Potter is waiting for the owl Buckle. “If you can find her, take five steps to the door. Where do you put your textbooks, what do you go to school with in the morning? " Children find a toy owl in a school backpack. An envelope with a crossword puzzle is attached to her wing.

Task number 4

Questions for the crossword puzzle:

  1. What is the name of the school where Harry studied magic and wizardry with friends? (Xogwarts)
  2. How old were the main characters when they got to Hogwarts? (ABOUTdynteen)
  3. What's the name of Harry's mom? (Lor)
  4. What is the name of the alley where the bank and shops for wizards are located? (TOaboutsoy)
  5. What do you need to eat after meeting Dementor to recuperate? (Chocolated)
  6. What subject was the last exam in Harry & Friends's first year? (MageandI)
  7. A magic spell with which you can open any door. (BUTlochomora)
  8. What month is Harry's birthday? (Julb)
  9. Smart and well-read friend of Harry. (Hermionbut)
  10. What house did Harry go to with his friends? (Grandffindor)
  11. One of the Deathly Hallows. (TOamen)

When all the words have been entered, the word "refrigerator" will appear in the selected horizontal column. This means that the next clue lies there.

Task number 5

There is an envelope with a task in the refrigerator. We use the well-known cipher "Polybius Square". The puzzle looks like this:

1 2 3 4 5 6
1 BUT B IN D D E
2 Yo F Z AND Th TO
3 L M H ABOUT P R
4 FROM T Have F X C
5 H Sh U B S B
6 E YU I , . !

Now the quest participants need to decipher the message:

33, 11, 25, 15, 24, 42, 16

46, 13, 16, 42, 34, 26

32, 11, 33, 15, 36, 11, 14, 34, 36, 55, 66

It turns out: "Find a mandrake flower." The guys go in search (you can lay out paper arrows in advance, which will lead the participants to the hint). A flower can be molded from plasticine and put, for example, under the table. Mandrake lies in a flower pot along with a note.

Task number 6

The children read the message: “Young wizards, you probably want to distract yourself and play your favorite game. We invite you to plunge into the delightful world of Quidditch. "

Participants are divided into two teams. Attach rings to opposite walls in advance, prepare a ball, mops or brooms for the players and a snitch (a shiny round candy will do). Opponents defend their rings, the attackers must score the ball into the rings of the opponents. The catcher's task is to catch the golden snitch. To make the game interesting, let the participants first leave the ball in the rings, and at the end, throw the snitch to the ceiling, to which the note is attached.

If the room is small, head outside. Rings can be attached to trees or building walls.

Task number 7

The message given to the children by an adult says the following: “Transfiguration lesson begins. Now we will see real magic! Go to the nursery, there is a surprise waiting for you. "

Prepare simple tricks for the children:

  • Egg in a bottle. In order for a chicken egg to get into the bottle, it must first be boiled and peeled. Lubricate the neck of the bottle with sunflower oil, light a crumpled piece of paper and lower it to the bottom of the bottle, and put an egg on top of the neck. When the paper burns out, the egg will fall into the container.

All tricks are done under adult supervision. You can not give matches and lighters in the hands of children, offer to set fire to paper. The view must be completely safe.

  • Toothpaste fountain. Prepare a plastic bottle, deep bowl, hydrogen peroxide (6%), food colors, dry yeast, liquid soap, or dishwashing liquid. Place the bottle in a container, pour ½ cup of peroxide, liquid soap into it, add food coloring. In a cup, thoroughly mix a teaspoon of dry yeast and two tablespoons of warm boiled water. Pour the mixture from a cup into a bottle. Children will be delighted when a fountain of colored liquid that resembles toothpaste in consistency comes out of the bottle.

Task number 8

After the tricks along the arrows, the participants go to a mirror on which a message from the book is written backwards with a permanent marker: "Anything is possible if no one has proved that it does not exist." As soon as the participants read the phrase, a locker will open under the mirror (it can be unnoticed by an adult). The Deathly Hallows will be in it. Music sounds, adults blow up firecrackers, a cloud of helium balloons floats into the room, everyone congratulates the birthday boy.

All participants are given gif.webpts: books about Harry Potter, magic wands, sweets.

How to organize an outdoor Harry Potter quest?

If the weather permits, you can arrange a magic quest outside. Children are happy to run in the fresh air in the costumes of characters from the book "Harry Potter". The script can include the following tasks:

  1. Participants are presented with an envelope containing a message from the headmaster of the Hogwarts school. It says that our world is in danger because the Dark Lord stole the flywheel of time. It is necessary to render harmless the One Who cannot be named. First, children must find a red box (it can be hidden in the grass, bushes, under a bench).
  2. The box contains the code "Dancing Men". When all the letters are selected, the participants will receive another hint: "Porch". Mom is standing on the porch, who will make riddles (questions about the Harry Potter books). After the participants have answered all the questions, the mother hands them a numbered envelope. Children should guess that this is a car number.
  3. Dad is sitting in the car, handing the participants a box of pizza. When the pizza is finished, the children will find an envelope at the bottom of the box with a blank sheet of paper in it. You will need to guess that the leaflet needs to be warmed up (adults can help and hold the lighter until the next message appears on the leaflet).
  4. Participants receive a map, which they use to enter the veranda filled with balloons. All of them need to be burst in order to find a note with a task.

Put scrolls with comic messages in each ball: "Try again," "There is nothing here," etc. The next task will be hidden in one ball.

  1. Children should go to the tree to which the image of the monster is attached. Participants are given water pistols, with which they need to "shoot" the monster.
  2. Quidditch game. You will need a children's inflatable pool and many colorful balls, among which there will be a ball painted in gold. Children must find a golden ball.

When all the tasks in nature are completed, prizes, fireworks and treats await children. You can also have an outdoor buffet for the kids to have fun.
