Crafts from old things for home and summer cottage: needlework lesson at home. Master class with a photo and a detailed description of the work

The time has come for the next general cleaning, and again old, unnecessary things remained on the floor. They can be shoved back into the closet, moved to the balcony or shed, thrown into the trash can, or come up with a new use case for the little things.

As you can see in the photo of crafts from old things, useful things can be created from everything that is no longer useful for its main purpose.

Textile crafts

What kind of crafts can you make from non-wearable items? Yes, absolutely any.

  • Terry towels and bathrobes will become surprisingly pleasant rugs. To do this, they are cut into ribbons, which are then woven into long pigtails. Prepared pigtails are rolled up in a spiral or laid in parallel strips. The elements are firmly stitched together.
  • Knitted items will make a nice and bright rug. To do this, the little things will have to be cut into narrow ribbons, sew them together, roll them up into balls and tie them with a suitable crochet size. And from small glomeruli you can make unusual flowers by fixing them on wooden skewers
  • An old men's shirt will be a great pillowcase for a decorative dummy. To do this, you need to cut the shelves and back to fit the pillow, sew on three sides, pack the pillow inside and fasten the buttons. For beauty, the original pillowcase can be decorated with a tie.
  • The jeans will turn into a cozy organizer. To do this, you will have to sew on pockets on your pants that can hold pencils, felt-tip pens, a notebook, glasses, and a TV remote control. For stability, strips of thick cardboard can be inserted into the legs. A similar craft will come in handy in the garage: you can put screwdrivers, keys and other necessary tools there.
  • Any rag can be a pretty piece of quilting. To do this, the shreds are sewn together, creating a large and small canvas. The prepared elements are used to make kitchen potholders, apron, napkins, paintings. After practicing on small things, you can try to create an unusual bedspread or a cozy blanket.
  • An old tea towel or T-shirt will make lovely hanging pots decorations. To do this, eight strips are tied together, then a pattern is woven from them in pairs in the manner of a fishing net. A planter is placed in the resulting mesh, the ribbons are tied together at the top and hung on a hook.

Beds for animals

Interesting ideas for crafts from things will help to equip a cozy place for pets.

  • A fairly large cardboard box will make a lovely house for a cat. To do this, you can put a bedding made using patchwork technology or a rug made of towels inside. A T-shirt pulled over the top will help to add beauty to a new home. The neckline will open the entrance to the house, and the short sleeves can cover emergency exits, which will be an interesting entertainment for little cats.
  • The bed will turn out from an old sheet, duvet cover or tablecloth. For this, the material is folded in half. Several layers of padding polyester are laid inside. A circle is sewn in the center, the size is suitable for the size of the animal. The second circle is useful for the sides of the bed. A larger amount of filler is placed here and the sides are pulled together with a strong thread, raising them above the floor.
  • An ordinary suitcase will give you a very simple way to create a cozy couch. It will be enough just to put a soft bedding or pillow here.

If you paint a suitcase and put it on wooden legs, you get a lovely bed for dolls. And bed linen can be created from scraps of fabric or a real, but already unusable set.

The same item will come in handy for creating an original dresser for the bedroom.

Photo frames

To create an unusual photo frame, the following are suitable:

  • Colored pencils, regular stationery pens or felt-tip pens;
  • Ice cream sticks;
  • Cuts of trees;
  • Plastic or wine corks.

The instructions for making old things are about the same:

  1. Two blanks of the same size are cut from thick cardboard.
  2. In one of them, a hole is cut slightly smaller than the photograph. You can make several holes at once, fixing a separate image in each of them.
  3. The blanks are glued on three sides, leaving the fourth one free for installing a photo.
  4. In order for the replacement process to take place as conveniently as possible, small pieces of cardboard are placed between the blanks.
  5. Decorate the front side with prepared materials.

Flower pots

Lovers of indoor plants can diversify the places of residence of their green pets.

  • Unusual pots can be made from plastic bottles if you cut off the bottom of them and paint them in bright colors.
  • Original florariums are created from a glass jar. To do this, a drainage layer and nutrient soil are laid in them, plants are planted.
  • Ordinary, somewhat shabby pots can be decorated with coins, shells, beads, lace. Planters wrapped in woolen thread or twine and decorated with mosaics from computer disks will look good.
  • A completely unusual garden will present an old suitcase, bedside table or chest of drawers. Only down will have to lay a layer of thick polyethylene. And already on it to pour a layer of earth and plant new inhabitants.
  • Old shoes will make a pretty home for succulents.

Kitchen crafts

The kitchen will be the most suitable place to use old things.

You can place here:

  • Hot coasters made of wine corks or ice cream sticks;
  • A stand for knives from an ordinary glass jar and noodles, plastic tubes, wooden skewers;
  • Containers for spices from baby food jars.

The last two options can be turned into an antique piece of jewelry using the decoupage technique.

  1. It is better for novice needlewomen to start making original decor from special decoupage napkins.
  2. For those who have already tried their hand at this not the most complicated design, you can take ordinary paper napkins with a pattern or even pieces of newspaper.
  3. Tin cans will help you not to buy special coasters for kitchen appliances.
  4. To do this, they are freed from the covers and connected together in a circle or lined up.
  5. You can use both cans of the same size, and containers completely different in height.
  6. You can paint them in one color or leave pictures created by professional designers.

In general, the question of how to make a craft out of old things with your own hands is quite easily solved if you have free time and a desire to create.
