DIY tree made of threads - a step-by-step master class with a photo

You won't surprise anyone with purchased artificial Christmas trees today, so it's time to think about creating an original Christmas tree that will decorate your New Year's holiday.

We suggest you make a Christmas tree from threads, which, with all the ease of creation, looks spectacular and festive.

Materials for creating a Christmas tree:

  • small diameter copper tubes or smooth wooden sticks;
  • green fringe 15 cm wide;
  • pom-poms or other decorations similar to Christmas balls;
  • thin wire;
  • silvery paper.

Instruments:

  • a hacksaw with a thin blade;
  • ruler;
  • pliers;
  • scissors;
  • glue gun.

So let's get started!

Cut the green fringe into 5 pieces - 45cm, 35cm, 25cm, 15cm and 5cm. Then use a hacksaw to cut the copper tubing into 5 pieces using the same dimensions as for the fringe.

Using a glue gun, attach the green fringe to the copper tubing.

Pass the long wire through the 45 cm tube, both ends of the wire should be the same. Next, pass the ends of the wire through the 35 cm tube. The end that you whipped up on the left side should be on the right, and vice versa.

In this way, wire all 5 tubes together.

Tie the ends of the wire and cut with pliers. Hide them on the inside of the tree and, if necessary, secure with a glue gun.

So, the tree made of threads is almost ready. Let's get down to the fun part - decoration.

Using a glue gun, glue the pom-pom garland onto the tiers of the Christmas tree. Choose the length of the garland and its location yourself as you wish.

What tree is without a star? We will also decorate our Christmas tree made of threads with an original star glued from beautiful decorative paper.

To create a star, you need 2 squares with sides of 10 cm. Fold each square with an accordion and glue the upper edges with a glue gun so that you get a semicircle. Next, we connect the two semicircles and form a beautiful silvery star.

Using a glue gun, attach the star to the top of our tree. We also used extra strips of paper to keep the star on the tree more tightly.

Attach a wire hook to the 5 cm tube so that the tree can be hung on the wall.

Here is such a creative Christmas tree we got.
