Paper is a simple and accessible material that even a child can use. It is enough just to pick up a template or stencil, and start the action, showing all your imagination.

What is required to make a paper applique:

  • Scissors,
  • Colored paper,
  • Pen-pencil),
  • White paper,
  • Glue,
  • Markers.

Select a template and print it on white paper.

Then cut out the pieces with scissors and attach them to the back of the colored paper. Circle them with a pen or pencil and cut out with scissors.

Glue the patch, ears, arms and legs to the main part, and draw the eyes with a felt-tip pen. Eyes can be made from buttons, circles of black paper, or special peepholes sold in handicraft stores.

The paper "sticker" in the shape of a pig is ready. It can be used to decorate a postcard or use it as an independent decoration. For example, hang it on an elegant Christmas tree.

What is required to make a paper applique:

  • Thin colored felt,
  • Scissors,
  • A needle with a fine point,
  • Polyester threads,
  • Paper,
  • Pen (black or blue), tailor's chalk or disappearing marker,
  • Beads (buttons).

  • Print the template you like on paper and cut out all the details with scissors.
  • Place the cutouts on the felt and trace around them with a pen, chalk, or marker. Don't forget to set 1-2 mm for the allowance.
  • Fold the paired pieces and sew them so that there is a small hole. For sewing parts, a needle-forward seam or a regular buttonhole seam is suitable. Fill the parts with the material of your choice.

  • Do not use cotton wool or cloth for filling. Wadded items are more difficult to wash, and fabric appliqués can be uneven and heavy. For filling, it is advisable to use komfortl, synthetic winterizer, synthetic winterizer, foam rubber or holofiber.
  • Sew up all the details to the end and connect them to each other using seams.
  • You can use 2 buttons or beads to mark the pig's eyes.
  • The felt applique is ready. Now you can give it to your grandmother, take it to kindergarten or use it as a decoration for the New Year.

If it is difficult to sew parts, they can be cut out and simply glued with glue (PVA, glue stick or glue gun).

For decoration, use buttons, beads, or special eyes that are sold in handicraft stores.
