Admission to 1st grade 2021-2022: new rules of enrollment

Admission to the first grade in the 2021-2022 academic year will be slightly different than before. The changes affected the date of the campaign to enroll first graders in selected educational institutions, children with benefits, as well as options for submitting applications. Let's take a closer look.

Innovations in admission to 1st grade 2021-2022

In 2021, due to the coronavirus epidemic, the acceptance of applications for the first class will be shifted by 2 months, that is, it will not begin on January 30, but on April 1. This applies to children living in the territory assigned to the educational institution. Other first graders will be able to enroll from July 6 to September 5 (or as long as there are vacancies). This is the first change.

The second innovation concerns the methods of filing an application. There are 2 more of them:

  • by letter to the school's email address;
  • via mail;
  • at the MFC;
  • at the Center for Municipal Services;
  • with a personal visit to the school;
  • through "Gosuslugi".

The new admission rules determine those who apply for the right of extraordinary, priority and priority admission to an educational institution. They also apply to those children whose brothers or sisters are already studying at the same institution.

All the nuances are spelled out in the Order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation dated 09/02/2020 No. 458 "On approval of the procedure for admission to training in educational programs of primary general, basic general and secondary general education."

When to sign up for school

Enrollment in grade 1 is possible if by the beginning of the school year the future first grader is more than 6.5 and less than 8 years old. If we are talking about an institution in which primary school education takes 3 years, and not 4, the recommended age for children is 7 years and older.

Many parents are concerned about the question: when is it better to send their children to school? It is impossible to answer it unequivocally. It all depends on the child. Psychologists say that it is not enough to know numbers and letters. It is important that children are mentally prepared. What does it mean?

The child should know that learning is largely about following instructions, not self-activity, the need to follow the teacher's actions and repeat them, the ability to compare individual elements and objects, etc.

It is also important that first-graders are assiduous, calmly react to criticism and observe the daily routine. They should be ready to get up at the same time, eat and do other things. The ability to self-serve is no less important.

If a child at 6.5 years old fully meets the above requirements, then he is ready to learn. If not, it is worth waiting for the onset of the optimal age.

Which school to choose

When filling out an application, the system automatically generates a list of educational institutions in which the child has the right to study. The list consists of two parts:

  • the main one is an educational organization suitable for registration (100% enrollment);
  • additional - schools located in any other territory.

The applicant (in this case, the parent or guardian) can indicate in the application a maximum of 3 educational institutions to choose from:

  • everything from the main list;
  • 2 from the main and 1 from the additional;
  • 1 from the main and 2 from the additional;
  • 1 from each list.

It is worth remembering that enrollment in schools outside the place of registration occurs only when there are still free places.

Are there any benefits

According to the order of the Education Committee, future first-graders are divided into 3 groups: those who are eligible for admission to grade 1 in 2021-2022. out of turn, in the first place, and also preemptive.

So, for example, first of all, those who went to the kindergarten of this school are included in the list. Followed by children registered in the territory to which the institution belongs (priority right).Benefits also apply to those whose brother or sister is already attending an educational institution (pre-emptive right).

If we talk about the extraordinary right, then it can be used by the children of military personnel, police officers, employees of the Russian Guard, the Federal Penitentiary Service, etc. Moreover, they also have advantages when they are admitted outside the place of registration.

Documents for enrollment in the first grade in the 2021-2022 academic year

The list of papers is indicated on the school's portal where mom and dad want to enroll the child. There is also a deadline for submitting papers and a website where you can join the electronic queue.

So, when applying for admission to primary school, it is worth providing:

  • passport of the father / mother or child's representative;
  • statement;
  • birth certificate.

Parents of 6 and 8 year olds must bring a permit from the local education department.

Those who plan to take advantage of the benefits will need a certificate from the workplace, a registration certificate, which indicates the details of a sister or brother attending school.

If the parent and / or child are not citizens of the Russian Federation, you must present a document that confirms the relationship, and a residence permit.

Recording through the portal "Gosuslugi"

The first thing to do is check your account confirmation. If not, confirm with the MFC.

Then, having passed the authorization in your personal account, select the city of residence. In some cases, the system does this on its own. The action plan looks like this:

  1. Select a school enrollment service.
  2. Select the item "Enrollment of children in the first grades of educational institutions."
  3. Enter the required information.
  4. Choose or enter your own school number.

If all fields are filled in correctly, an application confirmation button will appear. You can check its status in your personal account.

Conclusion

Enrollment in the first class 2021-2022 this year due to the spread of the coronavirus will take place later than usual and will be slightly modified. It's not just about shifting dates, but also adding ways to enroll your child in school. In general, everything is the same as before. Parents need to submit an application with the required documents and wait for the decision of the commission.
