March 2022 will give us a festive day off in honor of International Women's Day. Is it profitable to take a vacation in the first spring month or is it better to work hard - let's figure it out together.
Public holidays
There are many holidays in March. The main and most tender, of course, is World Women's Day, which is celebrated annually on March 8th.
It is thanks to him that we have an additional day off, which will allow us to go even on a small trip, if you are not planning to take a vacation. In 2022, the holiday will be on Tuesday, March 8th. The holiday itself has been celebrated since 1975 and this year it turns 47 years old.
The first spring month includes such holidays as:
- Cat Day (March 1),
- World Wildlife Day (March 3)
- St. Patrick's Day (March 17),
- Earth Day and International Day of Happiness (March 20)
- Navruz (March 21) - the beginning of the year and spring.
In March, Lent begins, which will last from March 7 to April 23, right after the long-awaited holiday of the farewell to winter - Maslenitsa, which in 2022 falls on March 6.
Working days and weekends in March
All weekends and working days awaiting Russian residents in March 2022 are taken into account in the production calendar.
In March we have 9 days off, including one holiday: 5-6, 8, 12-13, 19-20, 26-27. Day 8 March is established as a holiday and non-working article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. In 2022, it falls on a Tuesday.
There will be 22 business days in the first spring month. We won't have time to get tired, but we won't be able to rest to the fullest.
The working hours for March are as follows:
- 40-hour work week - 175 hours;
- 36-hour workweek - 157.4 hours;
- 24-hour workweek - 104.6 hours.
The shortened day could be March 7, the Monday before the holiday, unless the government approves additional transfers to create a long weekend period.
Orthodox holidays
In March 2022, Orthodox Christians in Russia will celebrate the following holidays and important dates:
- from 1 to 6 March - Maslenitsa;
- from March 7 - Great Lent;
- March 19 and 26 are the days of commemoration of the dead.
