The summer solstice in 2022 is the longest day of the year. The length of daylight hours has an impact on people's lives, although they do not always notice it. Nevertheless, the health, immunity, mood and mental state of a person depend on the length of time when the sun is above the horizon.

- on the shortest night, they went in search of flowering ferns. People were convinced that the one who managed to find such a plant would acquire amazing powers: he would be able to understand the language of animals, predict the future and attract good luck to himself.
- jumping over fires, according to the pagans, helped to cleanse from everything bad;
- the girls wove wreaths and launched them into the water. It was a good omen when the wreath floated far from the shore: in this case, the girl could hope to meet her betrothed in the coming year.
Rite of replenishment with the energy of the Sun
On this day, the energy from the Sun is especially powerful, because today is the peak of its influence. Therefore, it is imperative to take advantage of the great opportunity that happens only once a year.
Here's what you need to do:
- Go to nature early in the morning: to the forest, to the park or to the country house. It is advisable to be there already at dawn.
- When the disk of the Sun is completely above the horizon, you can begin. Stand on the ground with bare feet, facing the Sun.
- Relax and close your eyes.
- Feel how a warm stream of energy rises up from the ground through your feet, it completely fills you.
- If you have not worked with energies before, then it is quite possible that you will not feel anything. In such a situation, just imagine how a wave of heat goes through you to the top of your head.

During the celebration of the summer solstice, it is customary to burn fires. Therefore, it is not surprising that it was on this day that the largest fire in the world was lit, which reached a height of 40.5 meters. The record was recorded in Alesund, Norway in 2010.
The summer solstice is especially loved in Yakutia. There it is the most important holiday of the year, only now it is called Ysyakh.
Great celebrations of the summer solstice are also taking place at Stonehenge. To celebrate this holiday, huge crowds of people gather every year to the place where the Celtic Druids are believed to have performed their rituals. By the way, only on the day of the summer solstice, everyone is allowed to touch the stones of Stonehenge (on all other days, touching the ancient stones is prohibited).
In ancient China, on the day of the summer solstice, the yang gave all the power to yin: it was believed that yang ruled the world until June 21, and after - yin (the latter's reign lasted until the winter solstice).
